World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Bosnia and Herzegovina defeats Gibraltar 4-0
FARO, Sep. 3, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Estádio Algarve in Faro.
Edin Džeko scored dual goals
Bosnia and Herzegovina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Edin Džeko in the 35th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Bosnians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Kodro '65, Lulić '83 and Džeko '85).
The result put the Bosnians second in Group H with 14 points. Gibraltar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Bosnia and Herzegovina will meet group leaders Belgium at the Estádio Algarve on October 7, while Gibraltar will face Estonia.
