ZENICA, Oct. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Belgium defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a score of 4-3 (halftime: 1-2), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Bilino Polje in Zenica.

Bosnia and Herzegovina had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Medunjanin ('30) and Višća ('39), while Belgium only scored once Meunier ('4). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Belgians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Batshuayi '59, Vertonghen '68 and Ferreira-Carrasco '84).

The result put the Belgians top of Group H with 25 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is second with 14 points. In their last game, Belgium will meet Cyprus at the Bilino Polje on October 10, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Estonia.
