World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Greece and Gibraltar qualify for next round
ATHENS, Oct. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Greece defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens.
Kostas Mitroglou scored dual goals
Greece dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Vasilis Torosidis in the 32nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Greeks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Mitroglou '61, '63 and Gianniotas '78).
