World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Croatia and Turkey tied at 1-1
ZAGREB, Sep. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Croatia tied 1-1 with Turkey (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Rakitić ('44 on penalty) for Croatia, Çalhanoğlu ('45) for Turkey and none in the second.
The result left all six teams in Group I (Croatia, Finland, Iceland, Kosovo, Turkey and Ukraine), tied with one point. In their next game, Turkey will meet group leaders Ukraine at the Maksimir Stadium on October 6, while Croatia will face Kosovo.
