World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Finland draw 1-1 with Kosovo
TURKU, Sep. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Finland tied 1-1 with Kosovo (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Veritas Stadion in Turku.
The Finnishs started off well by taking the lead thanks to Arajuuri in the 18th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Kosovo with a saving goal from V. Berisha on penalty in the 60th minute.
The result left all six teams in Group I (Croatia, Finland, Iceland, Kosovo, Turkey and Ukraine), tied with one point. In their next game, Kosovo will meet group leaders Croatia at the Veritas Stadion on October 6, while Finland will face Iceland.
