World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Ukraine and Iceland play to a 1-1 draw
KIEV, Sep. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Ukraine tied 1-1 with Iceland (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Kiev Olympic Stadium.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Yarmolenko ('41) for Ukraine, Finnbogason ('6) for Iceland and none in the second.
The result left all six teams in Group I (Croatia, Finland, Iceland, Kosovo, Turkey and Ukraine), tied with one point. In their next game, Iceland will meet group leaders Finland at the Kiev Olympic Stadium on October 6, while Ukraine will face Turkey.
