World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Ukraine defeats Kosovo 3-0
KRAKóW, Oct. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Kosovo by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Stadium in Kraków.
Ukraine dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Kravets in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Ukrainians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Yarmolenko '81 and Rotan '87).
The result put the Ukrainians second in Group I with 5 points. Kosovo is bottom with one point. In their next game, Ukraine will meet Finland at the Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Stadium on November 12, while Kosovo will face Turkey.
