ZAGREB, Mar. 24, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Ukraine by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.
All the action happened in the first half, with N. Kalinić goal in the 38th minute.
The result put the Croatians top of Group I with 13 points. Ukraine is third with 8 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet second-placed Iceland at the Maksimir Stadium on June 11, while Ukraine will face Finland.
