World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Turkey defeats Kosovo 4-1
SHKODëR, Jun. 11, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Turkey defeated Kosovo by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër.
Turkey dominated the first half thanks to goals from Şen ('7) and Ünder ('31). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Turks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Yılmaz '61 and Tufan '82).
The result put the Turk third in Group I with 11 points. Kosovo is bottom with one point. In their next game, Turkey will meet Ukraine at the Loro Boriçi Stadium on September 2, while Kosovo will face Croatia.
