World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Croatia beats Kosovo 1-0
ZAGREB, Sep. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Kosovo by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Croatian defender Domagoj Vida in the 74th minute.
The result put the Croatians top of Group I with 16 points. Kosovo is bottom with one point. In their next game, Croatia will meet Turkey at the Maksimir Stadium on September 5, while Kosovo will face Finland.
