ESKIşEHIR, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Turkey defeated Croatia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the New Eskişehir Stadium.
Croatia made the Turks doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Tosun in the 75th minute.
The result put the Croatians top of Group I with 16 points. Turkey is third with 14 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet Finland at the New Eskişehir Stadium on October 6, while Turkey will face Iceland.
