World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Ukraine defeats Kosovo 2-0
SHKODëR, Oct. 6, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Kosovo by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër.
45 minutes of play and neither the Ukrainians nor the Kosovars have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Paqarada ('60 own) and Yarmolenko ('88).
The result put the Ukrainians third in Group I with 17 points. Kosovo is bottom with one point. In their last game, Ukraine will meet second-placed Croatia at the Loro Boriçi Stadium on October 9, while Kosovo will face Iceland.
