GERMANY, Oct. 24, 2014 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 11: Two wins in a row for Union Berlin. After their 3-1 win against SV Sandhausen on October 18, Union Berlin continued their sensational form in the 2. Bundesliga with a 2-1 victory over VfR Aalen this Friday.
VfR Aalen had started off well by taking the lead in the 39th minute with a goal by Canadian defender Hainault. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Union Berlin players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Leistner '62 and Brandy '70).
1. FC Union Berlin climbed to 10th place with 13 points from 11 games, tie on points with Karlsruher SC, which has a game in hand.
