GERMANY, Nov. 21, 2014 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 14: Two wins in a row for FC Heidenheim. After their 0-3 win against FC St. Pauli on November 8, FC Heidenheim continued their sensational form in the 2. Bundesliga with a 3-0 victory over SV Sandhausen this Friday.
FC Heidenheim dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Marc Schnatterer in the 6th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, FC Heidenheim players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Leipertz '48 and Niederlechner '63).
1. FC Heidenheim 1846 climbed to third place with 23 points from 14 games, only one point behind Fortuna Düsseldorf, which has a game in hand.
