GERMANY, Aug. 12, 2016 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 2: FC Heidenheim was held to a 1-1 draw by FC Nürnberg on Friday.

FC Nürnberg players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Slovak forward Jakub Sylvestr in the 11th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by FC Heidenheim with a saving goal from FC Heidenheim forward Denis Thomalla in the 56th minute.

1. FC Heidenheim 1846 climbed to first place with 4 points from 2 games, one point ahead of runner-up Hannover 96, which has a game in hand.
