GERMANY, May. 14, 2017 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 33: After their 1-1 draw against Arminia Bielefeld on May 7, VfL Bochum bounced back with a 2-1 victory over 1860 Munich this Sunday.
VfL Bochum forward Mlapa Peniel opened the score in the 31st minute, before seeing 1860 Munich catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Abdoulaye Ba. 1-1 at half time. VfL Bochum eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Weilandt in the 79th minute.
VfL Bochum climbed to 7th place with 44 points from 33 games, only one point behind SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
