SpVgg Greuther Fürth dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Khaled Narey in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Kleeblätter further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Maloca Mario with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
