SINGAPORE, Dec. 1, 1984 (AMP) — Singapore 1984 : Qatar tied 1-1 with Syria (halftime: 1-0), in a Asian Cup group stage game on Saturday night.

The result left both teams on top of Group A with one point. In their next game, Syria will meet Saudi Arabia on December 4, while Qatar will face Kuwait.
