GERMANY, Sep. 20, 2014 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 4: Two wins in a row for Augsburg. After their 0-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt on September 14, Augsburg continued their sensational form in the Bundesliga with a 4-2 victory over Werder Bremen this Saturday.
Werder Bremen opened the score in the score in the 3rd minute thanks to Davie Selke, before Augsburg regained the advantage with Baier ('15) and Verhaegh ('45 on penalty). Leading 2-1 at the break, Augsburg players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Werner '77 and Matavž '90).
FC Augsburg climbed to 7th place with 6 points from 4 games, tie on points with Borussia Dortmund, which has a game in hand.
