GERMANY, Apr. 18, 2015 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 29: After losing 2-3 to Bayer Leverkusen on April 11, the O-Fives returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over SC Freiburg this Saturday.
Shinji Okazaki scored dual goals
Mainz dominated the first half thanks to goals from Okazaki ('39, '45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the O-Fives further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Malli with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
1. FSV Mainz 05 climbed to 11st place with 34 points from 29 games, only one point behind SV Werder Bremen, which has a game in hand.
