Anthony Modeste scored tripple goals
FC Köln dominated the first half thanks to goals from Osako ('6) and Modeste ('36, '38). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Billy Goats further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Modeste in the 63rd minute.
Hertha Berlin remains in fifth place with 40 points from 25 games, 5 points behind TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
