Bundesliga (Week 33) : Bayern Munich beats Leipzig 5-4
GERMANY, May. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 33: Three wins in a row for Bayern Munich. After their success against Wolfsburg and Darmstadt 98, the Bavarians continued their sensational form in the Bundesliga with a 5-4 victory over RB Leipzig this Saturday.
Robert Lewandowski scored dual goals
RB Leipzig had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Sabitzer Marcel ('2) and Werner ('29 on penalty), while Bayern Munich only scored once Lewandowski ('17 on penalty). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Bavarians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring four times in the second period (Alcántara '60, Lewandowski '84, Alaba '90 and Robben '90).
Bayern Munich remains in first place with 79 points from 33 games, a 13-point lead over runner-up RB Leipzig.
