FREETOWN, Oct. 16, 1994 (AMP) — South Africa 1996 (Qualifiers) : Sierra Leone defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.

The result put the Sierra Leoneans second in Group 3 with 3 points. In their next game, Sierra Leone will meet group leaders Ghana on April 8, while Congo-Brazzaville will face Ghana.
