ACCRA, Jan. 22, 1995 (AMP) — South Africa 1996 (Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.

The result put the Ghanaians top of Group 3 with 6 points. Congo-Brazzaville is bottom with no points. In their next game, Ghana will meet second-placed Sierra Leone on April 8, while Congo-Brazzaville will face Sierra Leone.
