BOUAKé, Jun. 3, 2007 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Madagascar by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Ivorians top of Group 1 with 9 points. Madagascar is bottom with no points. In their last game, Ivory Coast will meet second-placed Gabon on September 8, while Madagascar will face Gabon.
