BLANTYRE, Oct. 7, 2006 (AMP) — Ghana 2008 (Qualifiers) : Malawi defeated Zimbabwe by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Malawians second in Group 12 with 3 points. In their next game, Malawi will meet group leaders Morocco on June 16, while Zimbabwe will face Morocco.
