Caribbean Cup 2017 Qualifiers : Guyana beats Anguilla 7-0
GEORGETOWN, Mar. 22, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Guyana defeated Anguilla by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 5-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Tuesday night at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown.
Peters scored dual goals
Guyana dominated the first half thanks to goals from Peters ('11, '30), Nurse ('14), Danns ('34) and Richardson ('45). Leading 5-0 at the break, the Guyaneses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Mills '47 and Barrington '65).
The result put the Guyanese top of Group 5 with 3 points. In their last game, Guyana will meet third-placed Puerto Rico at the Providence Stadium on March 29, while Anguilla will face Puerto Rico.
