FORT-DE-FRANCE, Mar. 23, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Martinique defeated British Virgin Islands by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Wednesday night at the Stade Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France.
Martinique dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Parsemain in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Martinicans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Arquin '68 and Langil '84).
The result put the Martinicans top of Group 7 with 3 points. In their last game, Martinique will meet third-placed Dominica at the Stade Pierre-Aliker on March 29, while British Virgin Islands will face Dominica.
