FORT-DE-FRANCE, Jun. 1, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Martinique defeated Guadeloupe by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Wednesday night at the Stade Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Jean-Baptiste ('67) and Babin ('79).
The result put the Martinicans top of Group 2 with 3 points. In their last game, Martinique will meet Dominica at the Stade Pierre-Aliker on June 7, while Guadeloupe will face Dominica.
