Championship (Week 30) : Sheffield Wednesday defeats Birmingham City 2-1

ENGLAND, Feb. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 30: After their 1-1 draw against Reading on February 2 and 1-1 draw against Burnley on February 2, the Owls returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Birmingham City this Saturday.

Gary Hooper scored dual goals

Birmingham City had started off well by taking the lead in the 45th minute with a goal by forward Clayton Donaldson. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Owls nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Hooper '77, '79).

Sheffield Wednesday FC climbed to 6th place with 50 points from 30 games, only one point behind Derby County FC.
