Championship (Week 2) : Fulham beats Preston 2-1
ENGLAND, Aug. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 2: Two wins in a row for Fulham. After their 1-0 win against Newcastle on August 5, the Cottages continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Preston this Saturday.
Fulham dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Nigerian midfielder Sone Aluko in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cottages further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Smith in the 67th minute.
Fulham climbed to third place with 6 points from 2 games, tie on points with Huddersfield Town AFC and Bristol City FC.
