ENGLAND, Aug. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 3: The match between Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland ended in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
Sunderland players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Honeyman George in the 4th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Sheffield Wednesday with a saving goal from Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Jones in the 70th minute.
Sunderland remains in 6th place with 5 points from 3 games, one point behind Nottingham Forest FC.
