Championship (Week 3) : Boro beats Burton 2-0

ENGLAND, Aug. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Middlesbrough. After their 1-0 win against Sheffield United on August 12, the Smoggies continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-0 victory over Burton Albion this Tuesday.

Britt Assombalonga scored dual goals

Middlesbrough dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Britt Assombalonga in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Smoggies further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Assombalonga in the 60th minute.

Middlesbrough FC climbed to fourth place with 6 points from 3 games, 3 points behind Ipswich Town FC.
