LIMA, Feb. 12, 1939 (AMP) — Peru 1939 : Peru defeated Uruguay by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a Copa América final round game (Final tournament) on Sunday. Peru won the 15th edition of the Copa América, their first title in history, Uruguay finished second.
