MEDELLíN, Jul. 13, 2001 (AMP) — Colombia 2001 : Uruguay defeated Bolivia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Copa América group stage game on Friday night.

The result put the Uruguayans top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Uruguay will meet Costa Rica on July 16, while Bolivia will face Honduras.
