CARSON, Jul. 7, 2005 (AMP) — USA 2005 : Jamaica defeated Guatemala by a score of 4-3 (halftime: 3-2), in a Gold Cup group stage game on Thursday.

The result put the Jamaicans top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Jamaica will meet second-placed South Africa on July 9, while Guatemala will face Mexico.
