ABU DHABI, Jan. 18, 2007 (AMP) — United Arab Emirates 2007 : Iraq defeated Qatar by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Gulf Cup group stage game on Thursday at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The result put the Iraqi second in Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Iraq will meet third-placed Bahrain at the Al Nahyan Stadium on January 21, while Qatar will face Saudi Arabia.
