SPAIN, Oct. 5, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 7: After their 0-0 draw against Cordoba on September 28, Los Periquitos returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad this Sunday.
Espanyol dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Vazquez in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Periquitos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Stuani in stoppage time.
RCD Espanyol climbed to 8th place with 9 points from 7 games, 2 points behind Villarreal CF.
