SPAIN, Oct. 19, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: After losing 3-1 to Valencia on October 4, Los Colchoneros bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Portuguese midfielder Tiago in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Suárez in the 71st minute.
Atletico Madrid climbed to fourth place with 17 points from 8 games, tie on points with Valencia CF, which has a game in hand.
