SPAIN, Oct. 19, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: Two wins in a row for Villarreal. After their 1-3 win against Celta Vigo on October 5, El Submarino Amarillo continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Almeria this Sunday.
Ikechukwu Uche scored dual goals
Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Nigerian forward Ikechukwu Uche in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Uche in the 59th minute.
Villarreal CF climbed to 6th place with 14 points from 8 games, 3 points behind Atletico Madrid.
