La Liga (Week 4) : Villarreal beats Rayo 4-2
SPAIN, Sep. 21, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 4: After their 0-0 draw against Granada on September 14, El Submarino Amarillo returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Sunday.
Luciano Vietto scored dual goals
Rayo Vallecano had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Kakuta ('22) and Bueno ('29), while Villarreal only scored once Espinosa ('33). Trailing 2-1 at half time, El Submarino Amarillo nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Musacchio '63 and Vietto '74, '87).
Villarreal CF climbed to fifth place with 7 points from 4 games, tie on points with Valencia CF, which has a game in hand.
