La Liga (Week 3) : Elche defeats Rayo 3-2
SPAIN, Sep. 14, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 3: After their 1-1 draw against Granada on August 31, Los Franjiverdes bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Sunday.
Elche defender Albacar opened the score in the 37th minute, before seeing Rayo Vallecano catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Gaël Kakuta. 1-1 at half time. Los Franjiverdes eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Jonathas ('56) and Mosquera ('69).
Elche CF climbed to 8th place with 4 points from 3 games, tie on points with Granada CF and Sevilla FC.
