La Liga (Week 3) : Valencia beats Espanyol 3-1
SPAIN, Sep. 14, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Valencia. After their 3-0 win against Malaga on August 29, Los Che continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Valencia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Pablo Piatti in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Che further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Parejo '63 and Alcácer '73).
Valencia CF remains in second place with 7 points from 3 games, 2 points behind FC Barcelona.
