La Liga (Week 3) : Atletico beats Real Madrid 2-1
SPAIN, Sep. 13, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 2-1 win against Eibar on August 30, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid this Saturday.
Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago opened the score in the 10th minute, before seeing Real Madrid catch up in the 26th minute thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. Los Colchoneros eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Turan in the 76th minute.
Atletico Madrid climbed to second place with 7 points from 3 games, 2 points behind FC Barcelona.
