SPAIN, Aug. 28, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 2: After a 1-0 victory over Getafe on August 22, Los Periquitos lost 3-1 against Villarreal.
Bakambu Cedric scored dual goals
Espanyol had started off well by taking the lead in the 5th minute with a goal by Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo. Trailing 1-0 at half time, El Submarino Amarillo nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Soldado '67 and Bakambu Cedric '87, '90).
Villarreal CF climbed to first place with 4 points from 2 games, one point ahead of runner-up SD Eibar, which has a game in hand.
