La Liga (Week 1) : Girona and Atletico tied at 2-2

SPAIN, Aug. 19, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga: Girona and Atletico Madrid opened the 2017-2018 season with an entertaining 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Girona players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Uruguayan forward Christian Stuani ('23 and '25. However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Atletico Madrid with goals by Correa Angel ('78) and José María Giménez ('85).
