SPAIN, Aug. 26, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 2: After their 2-2 draw against Girona on August 19, Los Colchoneros bounced back with a 5-1 victory over Las Palmas this Saturday.
Koke scored dual goals
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Correa Angel ('3) and Ferreira-Carrasco ('5). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Koke '62, '75 and Partey Thomas '88).
Atletico Madrid climbed to third place with 4 points from 2 games, 2 points behind FC Barcelona.
