League One (Week 13) : Preston beats Port Vale 2-0
ENGLAND, Oct. 18, 2014 (AMP) — League One / Match day 13: Four wins in a row for Preston. After their success against Crawley Town, Coventry City and Colchester United, the Lilywhites continued their sensational form in the League One with a 2-0 victory over Port Vale this Saturday.
Preston dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gallagher in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Lilywhites further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Browne with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Preston North End FC climbed to fourth place with 22 points from 11 games, tie on points with Swindon Town FC.
