ENGLAND, Dec. 19, 2015 (AMP) — League One / Match day 22: After losing 0-1 to Blackpool on December 12, the Latics bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley this Saturday.
Wigan Athletic dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Kellett Andy in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Latics further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Wildschut Yanic with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Wigan Athletic FC climbed to fifth place with 37 points from 22 games, 2 points behind Walsall FC, which has two games in hand.
