League One (Week 29) : Southend beats Shrewsbury 2-1
ENGLAND, Feb. 2, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 29: Two wins in a row for Southend United. After their 3-0 win against Coventry City on January 23, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League One with a 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town this Tuesday.
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Atkinson Will in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hendrie Stephen in the 79th minute.
Southend United FC climbed to 7th place with 44 points from 28 games, tie on points with Millwall FC.
